Time for some quick explanation about the new rankings.  These new rankings merely reflect results of this year.  Therefore competitors who have yet to compete will not be represented on this list.  That is not to say that these are not good competitors, but since we feel that rankings should be based on this year's performance, rather than last year's, we will only use this year's results to rank orators.  To compare this to a football ranking system, keep in mind that preseason rankings predict how teams will finish at the end of the year.  Yet, teams that play consistently well should move up throughout the year, regardless of preseason rank.
